Data Center Technician Wanted: Drive Innovation in Nordic Data Centers

About the Role
As a Data Center Technician, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing our critical IT infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of our 24/7/365 data center environment.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in large-scale data centers, preferably in Nordic countries
- Installation and maintenance of hardware, including servers, routers, and switches
- Conducting site surveys, including rack elevations and port assessments
- Racking, cabling, and patching of new switches and routers
- Utilization of cable management tools and implementation of best practices
- Installation and optimization of racks for maximum efficiency
- Troubleshooting of onsite network devices (servers, routers, and switches)
- Changing tapes (hard drives) in servers
- Physically moving and properly disposing of hardware
- Applying advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues
- Adhering to safety compliance and procedures
- Participating in and conducting safety briefings
- Completing incidents and requests according to Global Data Center Operations (GDCO) standards
- Maintaining awareness of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through dashboards and performance discussions
- Coordinating with team members and keeping stakeholders informed of work status
- Verifying security compliance and participating in data destruction processes
Qualifications
Required
- Valid EU work permit
- Experience in supporting IT Network equipment and Optical Line Systems
- Proficiency in technical aspects of data center operations
Preferred
- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of supporting IT equipment or related technology
- 5+ years of working in a mission-critical 24/7/365 data center environment
- Relevant certifications: CCNA, CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), BSC, DCFC, MCP, or vendor-specific network certifications
